As Chief Training Manager Switzerland, you take responsibility for the organization and quality assurance of pilot training within Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland (LAT CH) and, in this important leadership role, you are also part of the extended management team of LAT CH.

Tasks

In this strategically important role, which functionally reports directly to the Head of Training EASA.ATO.0007, you will, together with Germany and Austria, form one of the three regional leadership positions and make a central contribution to the further development of our organization.

  • You ensure that all student groups receive a uniform and high-quality education and keep training standards and processes in focus
  • You actively drive the strategic development of the organization – from expanding the training program to securing long-term competitiveness through innovative approaches
  • Leading and developing employees as well as instructors are among your most important tasks
  • You harmonize processes, create and maintain training documentation, and ensure compliance with all legal requirements (e.g., EASA Part-FCL, Part ORA)
  • The efficient use of resources and the continuous optimization of efficiency in training operations are your responsibility

Requirements

With your drive to shape and your ability to motivate and develop teams, you bring the ideal qualifications for this demanding role. You are a visionary, entrepreneurial leader with strategic foresight and solid experience.

  • Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with authorization for at least one of the offered training courses as well as at least 1,000 hours of flight time as pilot in command
  • Extensive experience in flight-related training (at least 500 hours)
  • Proven leadership experience in complex organizations, as well as entrepreneurial understanding with the ability to combine economic goals and high training standards
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as a confident demeanor
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation-specific laws and regulations (e.g., Part-FCL, Part-ORA)
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills for identifying and implementing optimization potential
  • High resilience, decisiveness, and conflict resolution competence
