Graduate Assistant – Campus Ministry

Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, implementation, and evaluation of campus ministry programs, events, and initiatives.
- Support faith formation opportunities, retreats, prayer experiences, and community gatherings.
- Assist with outreach and engagement efforts to increase student participation in Campus Ministry offerings including Mass and Bible study
- Provide logistical and preparatory support for liturgical celebrations and prayer services.
- Assist with coordinating student involvement in liturgical roles and ministries.
- Support collaboration with clergy, musicians, and campus partners related to worship life.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supporting student leaders involved in Campus Ministry.
- Provide accompaniment and support to students seeking spiritual guidance, community, or connection.
- Refer students to appropriate campus resources as needed.
- Support service, justice, and missionoriented initiatives aligned with Catholic Social Teaching and CSJ values.
- Assist with reflection activities that connect service experiences to faith, vocation, and personal growth.
- Assist with office operations, including communication, scheduling, and program logistics.
- Support marketing and promotion through campus communication channels and social media.
- Maintain regular office hours and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be admitted and enrolled in a graduate program at Avila University. International students are not eligible for graduate assistantships.
- The successful candidate for this position will possess a bachelor's degree and must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, a commitment to student development, higher education, creativity, vision, passion, and compassion are imperative.
- Experience in campus ministry, student affairs, faithbased organizations, or related settings.
- Familiarity with Catholic higher education or the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
- Graduate coursework in theology, ministry, education, counseling, or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
