Assistant Accountant

Beside Group is one of the biggest Retail chains in the Middle East. We have a strong family taking care of Premium brands like Diesel, Fred Perry , Scotch & Soda, Puma, Geox, Longchamp and Aape.

The purpose of this role is to support day-to-day book keeping.

Key Accountabilities:

• Retail Revenue & Reporting:

Responsible for checking daily store sales via cash, credit, gift vouchers, credit notes etc against the daily closing reports.

Responsible for posting adjustment entries in the ERP system.

Responsible for generating periodical retail sales reports.

• Reconciliation & Analysis:

Responsible for reconciliation of bank, credit cards, staff, staff uniform and other inter-company ledger accounts within the retail division.

Collaborate data from the ERP system and other sources.

• Petty Cash& Utility

Responsible for accounting, reconciling retail-related petty cash and account for and pay monthly utility bills in order to keep operation smooth.

• Archiving

Responsible for archiving all financial retail-related documentation, in a systematic manner.

• Account Finalization & Audit

Assist the Senior Accountant in periodical closing of the books of accounts.

Assist the Senior Accountant in preparing financial reports.

Assist the Senior Accountant in generating various management reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role (retail preferred)
• Proficient in MS Office
• Good understanding of retail operations
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
