What You’ll Do
- Produce and present daily weather forecasts for television and digital audiences
- Issue warnings and direct severe weather coverage across platforms
- Handle severe weather coverage calmly and effectively
- Lead morning and weekend meteorologists to ensure consistency across dayparts
- Attend daily newsroom editorial meetings to ensure weather message remains on brand
- Participate in promotional activities including public appearances
- Engage with viewers in the community and across social platforms
- Be passionate about and involved in the community
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a TV meteorologist
- Degree in meteorology is required
- Demonstrated proficiency with WSI Max technology
- Smooth and effective delivery of content for live broadcast
- Proven command of social media platforms and best practices
- Ability to work adjusted schedules, including weekends and overnights as needed
- Demonstrated skill as a leader, coach, and mentor
