Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll lead team leaders across claims and related insurance operations, balancing strategic direction with operational excellence. Your focus is on making insurance simpler, more accessible and truly membercentred.
In This Role, You’ll
- Provide strategic leadership across claims and insurance operations delivery
- Lead and coach team leaders to drive performance, capability and engagement
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation and digital transformation
- Own service performance through KPIs, SLAs and operational governance
- Ensure compliance with life insurance regulation and industry codes
- Manage operational risk, incidents, audits and regulatory obligations
- Partner closely with product, underwriting, technology, legal, risk and reinsurance teams
- Contribute to employer onboarding, transitions and policy change initiatives
This role is available as a permanent opportunity and offers an additional 6 Wellbeing Days/year.

You’re a confident, empathetic people leader with deep experience in insurance operations and a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes for members.
You’ll Bring
- Strong leadership experience within insurance or regulated financial services
- Solid understanding of group life insurance and claims operations
- Proven ability to lead leaders and manage large operational teams
- Experience working within complex regulatory frameworks
- A continuous improvement mindset, with exposure to transformation or digital initiatives
- Clear communication skills and strong stakeholder management capability
- Experience in group life or superannuationlinked insurance
- ALUCA accreditation
- Tertiary qualifications in business, insurance or health sciences
