The Role:


The Event Planner role will be based in Brisbane, with a focus on sales, creating and converting event proposals across Australia and occasionally internationally.


This is first and foremost a sales role — you’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth by converting client enquiries into confirmed events. You’ll combine your event expertise with strong sales acumen to deliver tailored proposals, build relationships with corporate clients, and achieve individual sales targets.


We’re looking for someone ambitious, proactive, and commercially minded — a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys turning opportunities into results.


Minimum 3 years’ experience in the events industry (event sales, venue operations, or event/travel management). Confidence, organisation, and professionalism are essential as you’ll liaise with senior stakeholders and manage multiple proposals and priorities simultaneously.


Responsibilities:


Event Proposals: Qualify briefs, create bespoke proposals, take clients on site visits, negotiate with venues/suppliers, and confirm bookings within set deadlines.

🎤 Client Pitches: Present proposals with confidence, handle feedback, and provide creative solutions.

💰 Sales Delivery: Deliver monthly sales targets and upsell across departments (suppliers, event management, HeadBox Business).

Customer Service: Deliver brilliant service at every touchpoint — with excellent communication and attention to detail.

🤝 Relationships: Build and retain strong relationships with clients and venues.
