Integration Analyst (P&C Insurance)
Indexed description
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with modern cloud platforms, complex systems integrations, and insurance domain workflows. You will play a critical role in designing integration patterns, defining business logic, supporting data mapping/migration projects, and leading requirements throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Analysis & Documentation
- Assist in documenting integration workflows, field mappings, payload structures, and error-handling requirements under the direction of the Senior Analyst.
- Review API documentation, webhook configurations, and event-driven specifications to support integration design and client guidance.
- Help prepare functional integration specifications, sequence diagrams, and technical documentation for engineering and implementation teams.
- Support clients in understanding API usage, authentication methods, rate limits, and integration best practices.
- Use tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI to validate and trace API behavior during integration testing.
- Lead data discovery and profiling activities—reading and interpreting legacy data structures, identifying data quality issues, and documenting migration scope and complexity.
- Build and maintain detailed data mapping documents that define source-to-target field relationships, transformation rules, data type conversions, and handling of null or invalid values.
- Translate mapping analysis into clear validation criteria and reconciliation checklists for use during mock conversions and UAT cycles.
- Execute test scripts and data reconciliation queries during mock conversion cycles, documenting results and surfacing discrepancies for resolution.
- Support post-migration data audits by querying target datasets and validating record counts, field accuracy, and transformation outcomes against defined expectations.
- Document migration cutover plans and coordinate with data engineering teams during execution phases.
- Participate in requirements elicitation sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to capture integration and data migration needs.
- Assist in translating business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis between client requirements and platform capabilities, documenting findings for Senior Analyst review.
- Maintain and update requirements documentation and change request logs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner closely with the Senior Business Analyst / Integration Analyst, engineering, QA, and implementation teams to ensure documentation accuracy and project alignment.
- Support QA teams by contributing to test case development and validating functional outcomes against defined acceptance criteria.
- Assist with client training and onboarding activities related to integration and migration deliverables.
