Infrastructure Architecture Consultant

Payrate: $70.00- $75.00/hr.

Responsibilities:

• AI and Innovation (AI&I) division, structured into five pillars, with Scott Seidner as Chief, Barron overseeing strategy and business partners, Mateo leading the front office, and leading the back office.
• AI Business Partners Role: The AI Business Partners, including Cassie, are responsible for gathering requirements, resource loading, and prioritizing initiatives, with a focus on leveraging consultants for peak projects.
• Bertha Application Scalability Issue: seeks an external opinion on their Bertha application, deployed in Azure, which is struggling with scalability, incurring high compute costs regardless of user load, and lacks its original developer.
• Multi-Cloud Strategy Review: requests an external review of their draft strategy for utilizing Databricks, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), noting previous discussions with Kurt on this topic.
• Enterprise Security Roadblock: A significant challenge is the "all or nothing" approach from enterprise security, hindering the use of real data in experimental environments for innovative projects.
• Proposed Solution for Bertha suggests a small, paid discovery phase involving a technical deep dive with developers to assess the application's current state, recommend improvements for scalability, and explore agentic system integration.
• Agentic Frameworks Discussion: Exploring where to build agents (Databricks)and the pros/cons, while Ryan highlights experience with various agentic systems and frameworks. Databricks Value: Expresses strong satisfaction with Databricks, particularly for its security features, analytics capabilities, and its ability to bypass firewall issues with Anthropic traffic.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $70.00 - $75.00 /hour. As a non-exempt position, this role will be eligible for overtime, at 1.5 times the base rate, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
