About The Role
As the Lead Project Procurement Manager, you will be part the of the APX Delivery Team and will have technical and project management knowledge. You will oversee all the procurement activities (pre-PO and post-PO) for AP1000 Projects with a focus on ensuring you deliver components on schedule, on budget, and meeting all applicable quality requirements.
You will report to the Director, APX Supply Chain North America Projects and be located at our Cranberry, PA facility on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams. Identify and capture the demand, identify potential suppliers, and establish a communication channel towards the suppliers.
- Support Commercial Teams with execution of sourcing strategies to achieve our goals while improving:
- Coordinate the RFx Process and establishing sourcing strategies for suppliers and services.
- RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions.
- Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for complex and specialized materials, equipment and services.
- Lead Contract preparation and purchasing process.
- Analyze all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements. Develop strategies to maximize supplier base cost/value.
- Maintain relationships with main suppliers and partners while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.
- Use the corporate Approved Supplier List Process for sourcing requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration with a focus in Supply Chain.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferred in contract/project administration of complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects.
- Experience managing a project/portfolio size of at least $5M.
- Currenly have a PMP certification, otherwise in process or willing to obtain.
- US Citizen. You must meet the criteria for access to our partners' and clients' technologies and meet import/export controls laws and regulations.
