Director – Federal & Industry Strategy

Location: Washington, DC Area (Northern Virginia / Maryland suburbs acceptable)

Role Overview

Aurigo is seeking a senior leader based in Washington, DC to help strengthen the company’s presence across infrastructure policy, industry engagement, and strategic growth initiatives.

This role will represent Aurigo in key industry and public-sector forums, support complex government engagements, and provide strategic insight on emerging policy and market trends. Over time, the position is expected to expand into broader industry strategy, ecosystem partnerships, and market positioning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Industry Engagement

• Represent Aurigo in Washington’s infrastructure and GovTech policy ecosystem.
• Build and maintain relationships with organizations such as AASHTO, federal and state infrastructure bodies, and relevant congressional committees.
• Monitor policy developments related to infrastructure investment, transparency requirements, and digital transformation in public-sector programs.
• Participate in industry forums, policy discussions, and roundtables relevant to infrastructure modernization.
• Contribute insights that help position digital capital planning, financial accountability, and compliance platforms as essential infrastructure systems.

Strategic Deal Support

• Partner with enterprise sales leadership to support complex public-sector engagements.
• Participate in executive-level meetings with state transportation agencies, infrastructure authorities, and federal organizations.
• Provide policy and regulatory context that strengthens Aurigo’s value proposition in procurement discussions.
• Help sales teams align messaging with federal and state priorities related to infrastructure delivery and accountability.
• Serve as a senior resource when institutional or regulatory dynamics affect enterprise opportunities.

Ecosystem & Advisory Alignment

• Coordinate and align Washington-based consultants and advisors supporting Aurigo’s policy and industry engagement.
• Maintain relationships with engineering firms, advisory organizations, industry coalitions, and research groups influencing infrastructure policy.
• Translate ecosystem insights into executive briefings, product input, and market strategy recommendations.

Qualifications

Required

• 10+ years of experience across public policy, infrastructure, GovTech, enterprise SaaS, or related sectors
• Demonstrated ability to build credibility with public-sector executives, regulatory stakeholders, and industry leaders
• Experience working with or alongside state DOTs, transportation agencies, or infrastructure authorities
• Strong executive presence and ability to represent a company in senior external forums
• Ability to operate effectively in evolving and strategic roles

Preferred

• Experience within a GovTech or infrastructure technology organization
• Background in infrastructure policy, transportation, utilities, or capital program management
• Familiarity with public-sector procurement frameworks
• Experience coordinating external consultants or advisory partners
