Overview:
As part of the Regional Sales Team, the Business Development Manager (BDM) is a sales-oriented role focused on developing business through direct engagement with Financial Advisors. This individual partners with advisors to identify client investment needs and recommend appropriate product solutions to drive asset growth. This is not an operations or administrative role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Position a broad range of investment products—including traditional, alternatives, packaged/pooled vehicles, structured solutions, and insurance-linked products—as solutions aligned to client portfolio needs
- Partner directly with Financial Advisors to identify opportunities and drive product adoption and asset growth
- Translate product capabilities into clear, actionable investment ideas for advisors to implement with clients
- Execute business development strategies and targeted campaigns to increase product penetration across advisor practices
- Influence advisor behavior through coaching, idea generation, and ongoing sales engagement
- Collaborate with Product Partners to deliver timely, market-relevant solutions across diverse product sets
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in Wealth Management, preferably in an advisory role but not excluding relationship management, sales, and advisory-facing positions
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) required
- Demonstrated ability to position or sell investment products across asset classes (traditional, alternatives, structured, etc.)
- Strong communication, influencing, and relationship management skills
- Commercial, solutions-oriented mindset with ability to drive measurable results
