Employee Benefits Account Manager

Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of assigned clients and manage service plans to drive retention and growth.
- Manage an independent book of fully insured and/or self-funded accounts.
- Build strong client relationships by promptly resolving service challenges, claims, and carrier issues.
- Lead structured client meetings to ask key questions, set expectations, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Maintain accurate client records and document all correspondence within the agency management system.
- Partner directly with the Employee Benefits Team to research and resolve complex eligibility or claim issues.
- Oversee both medical and ancillary benefit renewals to ensure seamless execution.
- Coordinate open enrollments and manage daily benefit administration for assigned clients.
- Execute the new account hand-off process and identify opportunities to improve workflows and technology
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of licensed Employee Benefits account management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to quickly learn and utilize computer programs.
- Strong knowledge of medical and ancillary insurance products, markets, and applications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
