Global Product Manager

We are seeking an experienced product management leader to oversee the full lifecycle of industrial control products, from initial concept through end-of-life planning. This individual will develop and execute product strategies that support revenue growth, profitability, market expansion, and customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will collaborate with customers, sales teams, regional marketing groups, and engineering departments across global markets to manage existing product lines while driving the development and launch of new solutions, product enhancements, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
The position will also focus on identifying market trends, conducting competitive analysis, evaluating customer needs, and uncovering new business opportunities within the product portfolio. The successful candidate will help translate regional opportunities into actionable business initiatives while maintaining a strong understanding of product financial performance, including profitability, pricing strategy, product mix, and sales volume metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Product Strategy
- Maintain awareness of competitor offerings and industry developments
- Identify customer applications and opportunities for product expansion
- Explore new markets and growth opportunities for existing product lines
- Engage directly with customers to understand operational needs and challenges
Business Performance & Growth
- Drive initiatives focused on profitability, operational efficiency, and supply chain strength
- Support efforts to reduce lead times and improve overall product performance
- Lead product enhancement and lifecycle extension initiatives
- Analyze key business metrics such as sales trends, quote conversion, bookings, and market participation
- Partner with regional sales teams to implement pricing and product tiering strategies that improve both revenue and margin performance
Product Promotion & Technical Leadership
- Serve as a product advocate and subject matter expert
- Develop technical presentations, white papers, training materials, and customer-facing documentation
- Support trade shows, industry events, and product awareness campaigns
- Collaborate with marketing teams on promotional materials and messaging
- Provide training and guidance to sales, service, and education teams
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field
- Several years of experience in industrial product management, sales, marketing, or process engineering
- Strong understanding of industrial controls, automation systems, valves, actuators, instrumentation, or related engineered products
- Experience working in business-to-business industrial markets
- Ability to evaluate customer requirements, competitive positioning, and product specifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Proven ability to build relationships across global organizations
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities
Preferred
- MBA or advanced business education
- Experience leading product portfolios and cross-functional teams
- Background in marketing communications, product positioning, or technical marketing
- Experience improving pricing strategy, profitability, and market share growth
- Customer-facing experience in industrial or engineered product environments
Ideal Background
The ideal candidate will have a technical or engineering foundation combined with experience in product management, sales, or strategic marketing. Experience working with industrial automation, process control systems, embedded technologies, smart control devices, robotics, machinery, or similar engineered products is highly valued.
Candidates with experience supporting product growth initiatives, commercial strategy, technical marketing, or industrial communications programs will be especially well suited for this opportunity.
