We’re Hiring: EE Category Sales Manager
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
About the Role
The Category Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and profitability within assigned product categories by developing strategic commercial initiatives. This role ensures a close collaboration with buying and merchandising teams to optimize product assortment in accordance with targets of turnover and profitability. The focus is on implementing effective pricing, promotional planning and inventory optimization to elevate the overall shopping experience and achieve market-leading results.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Growth: Develop and implement comprehensive category sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
- Assortment Excellence: Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to curate a compelling product assortment aligned with customer preferences and seasonal trends.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze sales data and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for growth and improve category profitability.
- Campaign Execution: Plan and execute promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, and product launches to drive customer engagement and stimulate sales.
- Market Alignment: Monitor pricing trends and implement competitive pricing strategies to ensure market competitiveness while maintaining margin targets.
- Merchandising Synergy: Partner with merchandising teams to ensure effective product presentation and visual standards that drive conversion.
- Inventory Optimization: Work closely with inventory management to optimize stock levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
What You’ll Bring
- Retail Expertise: Proven experience in retail sales management, preferably within the sport retail industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for data analysis); a valid driver’s license is required.
- Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Competencies: Strong analytical planning ability, focus on achieving results and the capacity to coordinate complex activities and resources.
