Reports To: I.T. Director


Position Overview

This document outlines the responsibilities and expectations for the EDI / I.T. Coordinator role at Adesso Inc, a leading- and cutting-edge lighting design and manufacture and wholesaler. Adesso Inc. provides product to mass retailers both via ecommerce and in stores. This position supports both electronic data interchange (EDI) operations and internal IT functions, ensuring smooth data integration and reliable system performance across the organization. This position serves as the assistant to the I.T Director on all I.T Related matters

This is an entry level role with knowledge of the below primary responsibilities.


Primary Responsibilities (EDI)

  • Manage day-to-day EDI operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all transactions.
  • Monitor EDI activity, identify errors, and troubleshoot issues to minimize disruption.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new EDI partners, including mapping, testing, and validation.
  • Maintain EDI documentation, partner requirements, and mapping specifications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all EDI-related inquiries and issue resolution.


I.T. Support Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues.
  • Support and maintain company systems, including ERP platform (Sage 100).
  • Assist with system updates, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and basic security protocols.
  • Maintain IT documentation, asset tracking, and system configurations.


Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure accurate data exchange and system functionality.
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers when necessary.


Performance Expectations

  • Ensure high accuracy and reliability in EDI processing and system support.
  • Respond to and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.

  • ERP system: Sage 100
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • General IT support and networking tools


Work Environment & Requirements

  • This is a remote position with periodic required travel to the New York City office as business needs dictate.
  • Availability for occasional after-hours support during system updates or urgent issues may be required.
  • Regular collaboration across departments and with external partners is expected.
