Assistant Product Development Manager - China

该职位来源于猎聘 -Support the management of technical aspects of product design and development activities, ensuring quality, cost, and timing targets. -Contribute to the identification and resolution of technical hurdles, supporting solution development in collaboration with cross functional teams.

• Support the preparation of technical responses to commercial briefs and input technical details into the Stage & Gate process. -Support the identification of technical risks and the preparation of risk assessments and contingency plans. -Assist with project tracking, issue logging, and action follow up to support timely project delivery. -Ensure project documentation is completed accurately and on time. -Support the development of bench samples and assist in planning and running pilot plant and factory trials (pladis and suppliers). -Coordinate trial preparation, data collection, and reporting, and support sample presentation to Marketing and other stakeholders. -Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and hygienic manner, following factory or bakery GMPs. -Assist in ensuring effective handover of developed products to local co manufacturers. -Work with colleagues to ensure that product development facilities are maintained to a safe and hygienic standard and operate using lean principles. Drive for continuous improvement. -Ensure that personal development plans are built, kept current and actioned as appropriate. -Have technical ownership for several products/brands
• University degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in one or more food categories (e.g. snacks, cake, sweet or savoury biscuits, confectionery), gained in a technical or product development role.
• Hands-on experience in product development, contributing to multiple projects across different development stages, including exposure to technical challenges and/or new processes or equipment.
• Awareness or introductory knowledge of Lean / Continuous Improvement principles and ways of working.
• Exposure to processes outside of ambient cakes, biscuits, or snacks would be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of, or interest in, global pladis brands, business context, key competitors, and key markets.
