Recruitment Consultant – Investment Banking & Private Equity
Blacklock Group is launching its first U.S. office in New York City and we are looking for an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to become a founding member of the team.
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing international recruitment business at the ground-floor stage of its U.S. expansion, working directly alongside the company’s founders and leadership team to help build a high-performance recruitment business focused on Investment Banking and Private Equity markets.
We already partner with a substantial network of U.S.-based financial institutions and generate the majority of our revenue from American clients. Our New York office will serve as the strategic hub for our continued growth across the U.S. market.
The Opportunity
As one of the first hires in the New York office, you will play a key role in:
- Building client relationships across Investment Banking and Private Equity
- Delivering senior-level recruitment mandates
- Supporting the growth and development of the U.S. office
- Working closely with leadership on market expansion strategy
- Helping shape the culture and success of the business in the United States

Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment processes for Investment Banking and Private Equity clients
- Source and engage high-calibre finance professionals
- Build and maintain candidate and client relationships
- Support business development initiatives and market mapping projects
- Work closely with the Managing Director – USA on strategic growth initiatives
- Represent the business at networking events and industry meetings
- Contribute to building a high-performance and collaborative office culture
Requirements
Essential
- Experience recruiting within Investment Banking; and/or Private Equity
- Strong understanding of front-office financial markets recruitment
- Proven track record of delivery and relationship management
- Excellent communication and business development skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help build and grow a business
Preferred
- Existing network within financial services
- Experience working retained or high-value contingent searches
- Interest in long-term career progression within a growing international business
Management experience is not required for this role.
