Business Development Representative (BDR)

Commission-Only to Start | Path to Salary | Ground Floor Opportunity | Indivieu

Austin, TX / Remote


Indivieu is not a typical agency. We combine digital marketing, business consulting, and emerging software products to help companies grow smarter. We are looking for a driven, self-managed Business Development Representative who can generate conversations, source opportunities, book qualified meetings, and help build the front end of our revenue engine.


This role starts as commission-only, with uncapped earning potential, recurring income tied to retained clients, and a clear path to grow with the company. As Indivieu reaches its recurring revenue milestones, this role is intended to evolve into a salary-based position with a more traditional compensation structure. For the right person who makes a meaningful early impact, there may also be future equity opportunity as the company grows.


This is ideal for someone who believes in their ability to produce, wants real upside, and sees value in getting in early with a company that is building toward something bigger.


What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for generating qualified opportunities for Indivieu’s service, consulting, and software-related offers. This includes building targeted prospect lists, reaching out through multiple channels, starting conversations, and booking meetings with decision-makers.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Building targeted prospect lists across priority industries and verticals
  • Executing outbound through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Sourcing qualified leads and booking discovery meetings for the closer or founder
  • Tracking outreach, follow-up, and pipeline activity in HubSpot
  • Helping refine messaging, outreach sequences, ICPs, and targeting
  • Identifying both service-based opportunities and software-fit conversations as our platform grows
  • Staying organized, consistent, and accountable in a performance-driven environment


Performance Expectations

This is a high-activity outbound role. As a general benchmark, we expect consistency around 60 outbound dials per day, strong multi-channel follow-up, and progress toward 90 minutes of meaningful talk time per day as connect rates and pipeline quality improve.


Activity matters, but outcomes matter more. The goal is not empty volume. The goal is qualified conversations, booked meetings, and revenue-generating opportunities.


Compensation

This role begins as a commission-only opportunity with uncapped upside and recurring income potential.


Compensation Structure

1. Sourced Lead Commission — 8% of First Month’s MRR

If a deal closes from a lead sourced from a list you built, you earn 8% of first month’s MRR.

2. Booked Meeting Commission — 12% of First Month’s MRR

If you book the meeting and that opportunity closes, you earn 12% of first month’s MRR.

3. Combined Opportunity — Up to 20% of First Month’s MRR

If you both source the lead and book the meeting that closes, you receive the full combined payout of 20% of first month’s MRR.

4. Lifetime Recurring Commission — 8% of Monthly MRR

For every retained client that you personally sourced and booked, you also earn 8% of monthly MRR for as long as the client remains active, subject to company commission policies.


Example Earnings
  • You source the lead and book the meeting for a deal that closes at $2,500/month
  • = $500 upfront plus $200/month recurring
  • Company-sourced lead, you book the meeting, and the deal closes at $2,500/month
  • = $300 upfront
  • You source the lead and book the meeting for a deal that closes at $5,000/month
  • = $1,000 upfront plus $400/month recurring
  • You source the lead and book the meeting for a deal that closes at $10,000/month
  • = $2,000 upfront plus $800/month recurring


Build a portfolio of retained clients and your recurring monthly commissions can continue stacking over time.


Growth Path

This role is not intended to remain commission-only forever. As Indivieu reaches its recurring revenue targets and scales its revenue team, we plan to transition key sales roles into salary-based positions with adjusted commission structures.


For standout performers who help create meaningful long-term value, there may also be future equity opportunities tied to impact, leadership, and company growth. Equity is not guaranteed and would be considered for the right person over time.

In other words, the right person has the opportunity to get in early, benefit from uncapped upside now, and potentially grow into a more stable long-term role with broader upside as the business matures.


Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable creating opportunities from scratch. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in outbound sales and does not need constant oversight to stay productive.


You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Are confident making cold calls and reaching out to strangers
  • Are comfortable handling rejection and staying consistent
  • Have B2B outbound, appointment setting, or sales development experience
  • Are organized and able to manage your own activity and follow-up
  • Can communicate clearly and professionally with business owners and decision-makers
  • Want a true ground-floor opportunity with room to grow
  • See the early-stage tradeoff and are motivated by upside

Experience in agency sales, SaaS, consulting, CRM, marketing services, or business services is a plus, but hunger, consistency, and execution matter most.
