CCi Voice is hiring a VoIP Technician to support the programming, installation, and deployment of our hosted phone systems/service for business and municipal customers across Connecticut.
This is a hybrid role based out of our South Windsor, Connecticut office, with field installations at customer sites statewide (or our HQ office in Bethel, CT). We primarily serve municipalities and small-to-mid sized business accounts. It's a great fit for someone with experience in VoIP, telecom, low-voltage, or IT field service who enjoys hands-on technical work, values predictable daytime scheduling (occasional night emergency response duty, scheduled on rotation), and likes working directly with customers. You will be working from home when you're not at installations.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $28–$34/hour, depending on experience
- Discretionary bonus

What You'll Do
- Program and stage hosted phone systems for deployment
- Install phones and related telecom/network equipment at customer locations
- Handle cutovers, upgrades, and service changes
- Troubleshoot voice, device, and network issues
- Train users on phone functionality
- Document installations and coordinate with internal teams
- Occasionally assist with video surveillance and access control installations
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in telecom, VoIP, low-voltage, networking, or field service
- Familiarity with hosted voice systems and IP-based equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Professional customer-facing communication
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently
- Valid driver's license
Preferred:
- Business phone system installation experience (especially Switchvox, PBXact, Asterisk, FreePBX)
- SIP/VoIP knowledge
- Structured cabling or low-voltage experience
- Prior field technician background for at least 2 years
- Associate degree, trade-school completion, or equivalent experience (including military)
