Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW :

  • A long‑established food ingredients group with over 50 years of history and rooted in strong product expertise.
  • The core business is wholesale of food ingredients, with a strong focus on spices, herbs, vinegar, grains, nuts, seeds, olive oil, sesame oil...etc for professional kitchens.
  • The company operates a food processing factory in Hong Kong that grinds ingredients daily into powder to ensure freshness, consistency and food safety.
  • Key customers include hotels, restaurants, bars and catering groups, including a number of Michelin‑starred and high‑end dining clients.

Role Summary

  • You will provide professional service to key accounts and proactively develop new HORECA customers.
  • The role focuses on developing and managing key accounts in the HORECA and food service sector, driving sales of spices and food ingredients in Hong Kong market.
  • This position combines new business development with strategic account management, working closely with a dedicated team of three Customer Service colleagues to deliver tailored ingredient solutions and a seamless customer experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Build, manage and grow key accounts in the hotel, restaurant, bar and catering segments, including premium and Michelin‑level clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals and quotations, and negotiate pricing and terms to achieve sales targets and margin objectives.
  • Work closely with the factory and quality team to understand product specifications, grinding capabilities and lead times, ensuring that customer requirements are clearly communicated and fulfilled.
  • Maintain regular contact with chefs, F&B managers, purchasing teams and distributors, providing product training, tasting sessions and technical support where needed.
  • Collaborate with three Customer Service colleagues to ensure efficient order handling, timely responses to enquiries and professional follow‑up on customer requests and issues.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to recommend new product ideas, packaging formats and service improvements.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts and account plans, ensuring accurate and timely information for management review and planning.

Ideal Candidates

  • Tertiary educated preferably in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
  • Solid sales or key account management experience, ideally 5+ years, in food ingredients, F&B supply, HORECA distribution or related B2B sectors.
  • Strong network or proven track record with hotels, restaurant groups, bars or caterers will be a definite advantage.
  • Passion for food, spices and ingredients, with the ability to discuss flavour profiles, applications and usage with professional chefs and buyers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; confident in dealing with senior decision‑makers.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; knowledge of additional Asian languages is an advantage.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable working independently with regular customer visits and occasional irregular hours to meet F&B clients.
