Job Responsibilities / Job Brief

The Product Specialists team acts as a crucial link between investment teams and investors, focusing on relationship management, strategy and insights communication, business development and product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a product manager covering Polymer’s various investment strategies
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials including pitchbooks, product profiles, white papers, etc.
  • Prepare regular investment commentaries and reporting for clients and third-party databases
  • Complete Requests for Proposals, facilitate due diligence and handle ad-hoc investor queries
  • Coordinate marketing activities in partnership with sales/distribution and external partners
  • Assist with developing new product initiatives and product positioning efforts with an understanding of industry trends and the competitive landscape
  • Collaborate internally with support functions to ensure alignment and seamless information flow
  • Ensure strict compliance with relevant rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field is preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in investment management, equity research or product management
  • Extensive knowledge of equity markets, valuation models, portfolio management and risk management
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Must be detail-oriented, hard-working, and self-motivated with a sense of ownership and accountability
  • Must be a strong team player that can collaborate globally and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

Good to have

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (written and oral); fluent in Cantonese
  • MBA or professional designations including CFA, CAIA or FRM
  • Proficiency in financial tools such as Bloomberg, Nasdaq eVestment and/or Morningstar Direct
