Position: Senior Reporting Analyst
Location: Freehold, NJ
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: $95,000–$110,000
Position Overview
The Senior Reporting Analyst will play a key role in preparing and analyzing financial statements and supporting SEC reporting requirements. This position collaborates with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance with U.S. GAAP, and timely reporting. The role also involves process improvement initiatives and supporting external audits. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Support the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks, in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and workpapers for external reporting requirements
- Perform multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations across domestic and international operations
- Assist with monthly close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Analyze financial statement fluctuations and provide commentary to management
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Support external audit requests and assist with annual audit preparation
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Assist with improvements to reporting processes, controls, and system efficiencies
- Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as requested by leadership
- Support implementation and maintenance of financial reporting systems and reporting structures
Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–6 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Experience with multi-entity consolidations and multi-currency environments
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and large data set analysis
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Experience/Skills
- CPA or CPA track preferred
- Experience with public company reporting and SEC filings
- Prior experience in public accounting and/or corporate reporting environments
- Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred
