Filler Operator

Mark Anthony a craft brewery in the business of developing and selling international award-winning premium craft beer and high-quality distilled spirits brewed without compromise. Based in Surrey, British Columbia, MABCL was voted Canada Best Brewery of the Year in 2010 and 2012. Its Red Racer brand has become a cult icon among craft beer enthusiasts throughout North America. In 2019 we opened a 40,000 sq. ft. storage facility with approximately 2000 barrels of whiskey aging in this facility. We are proud of being a local-Canadian Brewery that is currently expanding. In 2021 the company completed the installation of a new canning line designated for contract manufacturing.

Job Summary

This role is primarily responsible for filling containers with the required number of products before packaging and shipping. The filler operator also operates filling machines and makes the necessary adjustments to ensure consistency. They are also responsible for inventory and maintenance of filling process equipment. They must work well under pressure and be scrupulously accurate. This position requires all shifts availability and may require overtime when needed. The Filler Operator reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Function And Responsibilities

• Comply with all environmental regulations including GMP and HACCP
• Perform changeovers, minor adjustments, start-up and shut down of equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe environment while observing all PPE standards and precautions
• Perform CIP on machinery to ensure cleanliness and ensure the highest quality product
• Maintain high standards of QA, QC and sanitation for both machines and products
• Assist QA in preparing filling batch record documentation to facilitate ease of review for auditing purposes
• Inspect date codes, weights, labels, and bottles before packaging
• Monitor, troubleshoot and adjust machines to ensure product specification
• Other duties as required

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to lift and stack up to 20kg repeatedly
• Must be able to pull hoses, bend, squat, climb stairs and load empty kegs
• Must have the ability to continuously stand or walk
• Ability to lift 40kg occasionally
• Permanent Full-Time Position
