⚖️ Litigation Associate (Legal Writing & Strategy)

📍Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco – Punto Sao Paulo (In-Office)

Compensation: Competitive Monthly Salary + Performance Bonuses

Contract Type: Full-Time | Independent Contractor

About The Role

Words win cases. Arguments change lives. At Legal Management Group, we believe that a perfectly crafted motion is a litigator's most powerful weapon. We are seeking a Guadalajara-based Litigation Associate who is an elite legal writer at heart. This is a unique opportunity to work under the direct mentorship of experienced U.S. Attorneys and to draft high-stakes briefs for California courts. If you have the intellectual rigor to deconstruct complex cases and the persuasive flair to draft motions that win, your desk is waiting in Punto Sao Paulo.

The Mission (The Art of Legal Drafting)

  • The Master of Briefs: You will spend the majority of your time drafting high-level legal motions (Motions to Dismiss, Summary Judgment, Oppositions) that are logically flawless and rhetorically persuasive.
  • Strategic Case Narratives: Translate complex evidence and medical records into a compelling "story of the case"—writing complaints and demand packages that clearly articulate the client's damages.
  • Deep-Dive Legal Research: Conduct sophisticated research into California case law to identify the precedents and statutes that will drive our litigation strategy.
  • Independent Execution: While you will receive mentorship and strategic direction, you will be expected to "own your desk"—managing your research and drafting workflow with high autonomy.
  • Strategy Partnership: Work alongside U.S. Lead Counsel to outline legal theories and refine arguments that will govern cases from filing through trial.

What We Are Looking For

  • The Writer: You must be a "writer first." You find satisfaction in the nuance of language and the structure of a perfect argument.
  • The Credentials: Licensed Attorney in Mexico (Cédula Profesional is mandatory).
  • English Mastery: Near-native (C1/C2) written English. You must be able to write with the nuance, tone, and professional polish of a U.S.-educated attorney.
  • Experience: 2+ years of litigation experience (Civil, Commercial, or Administrative) where complex drafting was a primary responsibility.
  • The Mindset: A "Quality Over Quantity" approach. You are obsessive about detail, logic, and the accuracy of your citations.

Why Join Us?

  • World-Class Mentorship: Receive direct feedback and training from U.S. Attorneys, elevating your legal writing to international standards.
  • Elite Environment: Work in our "Class A" office in the heart of the Punto Sao Paulo financial district.
  • Performance Rewards: We value outcomes. Your compensation includes bonuses tied to the quality and success of your legal work.
  • Autonomy: Enjoy a role that prizes focused, solo work time, allowing you to deep-dive into the law without constant interruption.

How to Apply

To ensure you only get the highest quality writers, I recommend adding this instruction at the bottom of your portal:

"Required: Please submit your CV in English along with a writing sample (Legal Brief, Motion, or Case Analysis) that demonstrates your ability to argue a point of law or fact in English."
