AeroVect is seeking a Controller to own the accounting function end-to-end and build it from the ground up, responsible for financial statements, revenue recognition, and hardware COGS accounting, with 6-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years at a venture-backed startup.
Requirements
- Own the full monthly and annual close process
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements for board and investor reporting
- Manage intercompany transactions and consolidation across US, UK, and Canadian entities
- Own revenue recognition for a mixed hardware and software business with recurring revenue
- Manage hardware COGS accounting including inventory, BOM costing, and depreciation schedules
- Evaluate, select, and implement a modern ERP and supporting finance tools
- Build automated workflows to streamline close processes, reconciliations, and reporting
- Coordinate with external tax advisors for compliance
- Manage debt facility reporting
- Establish and maintain internal controls
- Prepare for and support external audit readiness
- Prepare a month end close package
