Team Overview: The Fund Management team is responsible for fund performance acting as the interface with the client and as liaison with all the other departments of the business about the Fund. As such the role is both internal and external facing. It involves close teamwork with Asset Management, Transaction, Finance, and Financing teams and Senior Management, as well as liaising with external service providers and the clients.
Role and Accountabilities: The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for implementation of fund business plans and strategy by coordinating the day-to-day fund administration of an open-ended, diversified 1bn € pan-European core fund, managing the property portfolio, overseeing and carrying out financial reporting and modelling, managing ESG initiatives and data collection and creating investor presentation material.
Investment Strategy and Performance
- Support to implement investment strategy for the portfolio consistent with portfolio objectives related to matters like property types, geography, use of debt, etc.
- Preparing portfolio strategy reports together with Research department
- Oversee and carry out portfolio analysis on an ongoing basis
Portfolio Strategy/Financial Plan
- Consolidating asset budgets
- Overseeing and calculating/checking of asset and portfolio level cash-flows and returns
- Oversee and check Variance analysis
- Evaluate all assets proposed for sale within the context of defined hold/sell strategies
- Controlling liquidity status of the funds
- Fund Liquidity projections
- Preparing board decision materials
- Controlling of loan portfolio
- Coordinating with LaSalle financing and fund operations teams
New Investments/Divestments
- Review all proposed acquisition cash flows to make sure they meet the defined criteria for new investments
- Preparing investment committee decision materials
Oversight of Asset Management Activities (support of Fund Manager)
- Supervising Asset Managers. Control implementation of asset business plans.
- Supervising all major projects of refurbishment, re-letting etc.
- Reviewing and updating all asset level strategic plans on an annual basis.
- Coordination of budget process
- Coordinating with Asset Managers
- Validating budgets
- Constant improvement of format and calculation methods in line with market changes.
Ensure regular investor reporting
- Supervise and control monthly/quarterly investor reporting
- Assist in preparation of annual investor reporting
- Prepare annual investor meeting materials
- Prepare 2 investor update call presentations per year
ESG strategy and compliance
- Support implementation of the ESG strategy of the fund
- Report on the implementation progress of this ESG strategy
- Assist in defining asset specific implementation road maps
- Supervise implementation of asset road maps
- Aggregate asset consumption data on fund level and prepare necessary SFDR reporting.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 7 years’ real estate experience in relevant European markets, ideally through fund management, asset management or transactions
- Experience with living concepts and/or logistics of advantage
- Experience with SFDR requirements/outputs and ESG measures
- Analytical working style/attitude
- Cash flow modelling and analytical skills (Excel & Argus)
- Diligent working attitude with the ability to combine details with the bigger picture
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in both German and English. Additional European languages would be an advantage.

- Excellent presentation creation skills (Power Point)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a European team
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
