Role and Responsibilities

The role will include a wide range of responsibilities on M&A and financing transactions, among other initiatives, including:

  • Assisting in the execution of transactions for our clients, with responsibilities increasing over time
  • Preparing client presentations including compiling / analyzing data and conducting research
  • Preparing financial models and valuation analysis
  • Assisting in drafting confidential information memorandums and other deal related marketing materials
  • Researching and communicating with potential acquirers
  • Coordinating transaction due diligence


Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in professional services with a financial analysis focus (e.g. audit, accounting, M&A advisory). Prior M&A advisory experience is not a requirement, but definitely an asset.
  • Undergraduate business degree required - Major in Finance or Accounting preferred, with strong record of academic achievement
  • CPA, CFA or CBV preferred
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting, with experience in financial modeling and analysis (i.e. income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Energetic, inquisitive self-starter with ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)


Compensation

  • Starting salary of $90,000, plus an annual bonus
  • $1,500 Health Spending Account
  • 15 days vacation
