Total Compensation: $50k-$120k base compensation

Socials & Thought-Leadership Events

We believe in fostering the development of an optimal Talent and Culture community. We host bimonthly socials/events throughout the year; these events run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. One event runs on the first Thurs of the month in Surrey, and the other runs in downtown Vancouver on the 3rd Tues of the month.

Responsibilities

  • Answer client questions, assist with challenges and/or claims issues
  • Outline brief “executive summary” benefits performance emails for clients
  • Prepare, quarterly, semi-annual and annual utilization reports for clients
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on new benefits plans and plan amendments
  • Analyze and compare insurer products, services, proposals, and summarize for customers
  • Manage all aspects of new client implementation, including Master Application and employee enrolment documentation
  • Manage all aspects of client plan amendments, price changes, correspondence with clients, and review of insurer materials
  • Liaise with insurance carriers and manage all aspects of the benefits plan marketing process (obtain reports, employee data, contracts, prepare specifications, review quotations and prepare results for presentations)
  • Act as key contact with distribution partners; escalate challenging issues to leadership where applicable
  • Ensure relevant documentation is maintained to achieve The ReFrame Group goals
  • Update and maintain all client/prospect database information

Knowledge/Education/Experience

  • Experience working in an administrative capacity
  • 2+ years work in the employee group benefits insurance industry
  • LLQP Designation or interest in registering
  • GBA, RPA, or CEBS designation would be an asset to this position – or interested in starting to work on the CEBS immediately
  • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to work with data to develop technical reports
  • Working knowledge of group products, contract provisions, and administrative procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in a group sales and service environment
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to think logically, analyze and solve problems
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • High level of initiative
  • Ability to manage confidential information
  • Experience in retirement plan administration would be an asset
  • Exceptional working knowledge in MS Windows Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Default to action and default to transparency are a must
  • Growth mindset and keen interest in developing your whole-self

  • Maniacal sense of urgency
  • Hyper organized (you are the type of person who loves lists and who writes every note down)
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Being gritty/resilient are a must. If you are easily offended and let a lot bother you, this role isn't for you.


Work location and conditions

  • Shared office space work environment (www.Suite-Genius.com) in Kitsilano, plus remote work
  • Prolonged periods of sit/standing at a computer workstation
  • Travel to different sites within the Lower Mainland may be required (but very little)
  • Attendance at ReFrame Socials and Thought Leadership events
