What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Design Engineer you will be responsible for developing system level requirements for new software capabilities, working with systems engineering to develop mid level and low level design, exploring how to integrate new software tools into legacy code base, creating systems engineering artifacts (architecture diagrams, system flows, design documents, etc.), and coordinating development plans with systems, software, and test teams.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Working the redesign and architecture of IMIS applications
- Performing subsystem level requirements decomposition and traceability
- Leading technical trade studies
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to make sure requirements are testable and verification documentation is available
- Coordinating large scale development projects and setting project milestones
- Collaborate with developers and engineers to implement designs, guide the development process, and ensuring compliance with requirements
