About the Company
Our manufacturing client is seeking a Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing and supply chain activities on a contract basis, with the potential to convert to a full-time role. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and components are available to support production schedules while maintaining cost and supplier performance expectations.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and components are available to support production schedules while maintaining cost and supplier performance expectations.
Responsibilities
- Execute purchasing activities for raw materials, components, and indirect spend
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders within the ERP/MRP system
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing activities to align with demand
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and delivery commitments
- Address delivery issues, shortages, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies
- Partner with Planning, Production, and Operations teams to support manufacturing needs
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation
- Assist with sourcing, cost-reduction, and process improvement initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Buyer or purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience working within an ERP/MRP system (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Plex, or similar)
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and inventory management
- Proficiency in Excel and basic reporting
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Required Skills
