A well-established, premier luxury vacation rental management group is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth and homeowner relations for its high-end portfolio. With a current footprint of 100+ luxury properties, the group is at a pivotal point for expansion, including moves into new geographic markets and the upcoming launch of a boutique hotel. We created this role to move key growth responsibilities from the General Manager to a dedicated sales leader who can drive inventory acquisition and maintain elite-level owner relationships.


Compensation & Benefits: $70,000 – $80,000 base salary with a structured commission/bonus plan targeting an OTE (On-Target Earnings) of $100,000+. This is a fully remote position ideally based within 60 miles of South Haven, MI.


Must-Haves

  • 3-5+ years of Sales or Business Development experience, ideally within luxury real estate, hospitality, or the vacation rental (STR) industry.
  • Proven track record of "hunting" and closing high-value contracts through proactive lead generation and networking.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Must be a sophisticated collaborator capable of building deep trust with high-net-worth property owners.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think "outside the box" to identify viable management contracts beyond standard listings.
  • Self-Starter: Highly disciplined and detail-oriented professional comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment.
  • Consultative Approach: Ability to walk owners through revenue projections, market data, and management agreements with clarity and confidence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Growth: Proactively identify, pitch, and onboard high-end luxury vacation homes into the management program to meet company growth targets.
  • Market Expansion: Assist ownership in research and outreach for the group’s expansion into new year-round, warm-weather markets.
  • Lead Generation & Networking: Build and maintain a robust referral network with local Realtors, brokers, and developers in key coastal destination markets.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the General Manager and Operations Team to ensure a seamless transition of properties from the sales pipeline to active management.
  • CRM & Data Management: Maintain precise records of the sales pipeline, lead status, and market trends to report directly to ownership.
