Description

  • Receives blood products collected by manual and automated methods .
  • Prepares and labels various blood components .
  • Inspects, labels and ships processed blood components .
  • Quarantines components unsuitable for shipment.
  • Assures that blood components are stored appropriately .
  • Assembles and packages blood products for manufacture .
  • Performs QC and maintenance. Reports malfunction to department director.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies. Reports inventory levels to department director.
  • Delivers and picks up blood products, samples and blood bank supplies as directed. Monitors delivery vehicle for proper functioning.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Education: High school or equivalent experience

Licensure: None; prefer current driver license in good standing

Experience: 2 years general work experience; prefer healthcare or manufacturing
