Responsibilities
Directs external partnerships to support sustainability, growth, and the development of regional and agency wide service delivery
- Cultivates and maintains strategic relationships with community partners, parishes, funders, and collaborating agencies to strengthen coordinated service delivery and long term viability.
- Participates in the creation of the Agency’s strategic plan development, ensures partnership activities are aligned with the Agency Strategic Plan, mission, program requirements, and regional priorities; communicates partnership impacts and risks to senior leadership as needed.
- Coordinates with Program Directors, Compliance, and Finance/Administration on partnership agreements (e.g., MOUs, referral pathways, facility use, and collaborative projects) to support consistent and sustainable implementation
- Identifies and advances partnership opportunities that increase access, reduce duplication, and support sustainable growth of services across the region and, where applicable, agency wide.
- Represents Catholic Charities professionally in designated local, regional, and national professional organizations and meetings.
- Maintains a positive profile in the community with providers of other community resources.
- Maintains a balance of representing all agency programs including Early Learning, Behavioral Health, Housing Services, Youth and Young Adult, Parenting, and Senior Services.
- Coordinates local outreach efforts which include tabling events, resources fairs, community presentations and all external facing efforts.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication with all location agency staff, including feedback that supports program operations.
- Facilitates local leadership meetings to support clear communication and cross program collaboration.
- Works with local program managers to align all services with the mission and vision of Catholic Charities
- Prioritizes building a strong local office culture grounded in diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, fostering belonging, respect, and shared accountability.
- Coordinates with other Regional Directors of Community Engagement to promote equity, shared practices and continuity across Catholic Charities’ various locations.
- Serves as a regional point of contact for staff, community issues, and cross program coordination.
- Maintains a general understanding of regional and program budgets sufficient to communicate priorities and constraints, and to explain budget context to community stakeholders as appropriate.
- Supports program growth by collaborating with Program Directors and senior leadership to define the process for launching or expanding services, including regional implementation expectations, timelines, resourcing, and community readiness
- Coordinates and collaborates on community needs assessments in connection with community partners in service area to assess gaps in services.
Non Physical Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Social Services or closely related field required; master’s degree preferred
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience required
- Ability to articulate the mission of Catholic Charities
- Ability to collaborate and provide support to multi disciplinary teams
- Possess and utilize effective verbal and written communication skills
- Successful implementation of team leadership and staff support
- Ability to be self-motivated, work independently and successfully lead and motivate teams
- Ability to represent the agency in a professional manner within the community
- Knowledgeable about social services best practices preferred
- Valid Washington State driver’s license and required minimum liability insurance for WA State
- Licensed or credentialed when required
- Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
Wage Range: $125,000-$145,000 per year; depending on education & experience
