Developer Experience Engineer (Mandarin-Speaking)

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Developer Advocate to join our Developer Experience team. The Developer Advocate will engage with our developer community and advocate for developers’ needs within OpenAI, create and curate high-quality technical content, build developer tools for developers to build on top of the OpenAI API, and collaborate closely with research and API teams.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering background, with experience building with AI and LLMs.
• Proven track record of engaging with developers to help them find success with API-based products, and building developer communities.
• Mandarin language skills.
• Deep user empathy and an understanding of what’s required for a product experience to be great.
• Creativity and passion for exploring new ways to connect with and empower developers.
• Pride in crafting delightful developer tools and high-quality demos and sample projects.
• A history of creating documentation, how-to content, and code that help developers find success with technical products.
• Ownership of problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you’re missing to get the job done.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively across different teams and disciplines.
• Ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines.
• Experience with or a strong interest in AI ethics and safety, aligning with OpenAI's commitment to responsible AI development.
