The Assistant Environment Officer will support the implementation of integrated environmental programmes/projects in displacement and stable situations, with a focus on refugee-related environmental problems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental assessment, planning, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as familiarity with emerging sustainable technologies and renewable energy.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-year experience in environmental assessment, planning, monitoring, and evaluation of integrated environmental programmes/projects in displacement and stable situations.
- Awareness of and practical experience with refugee-related environmental problems.
- Familiarity with emerging environmentally sustainable and appropriate technologies, and renewable energy.
- Familiarity with community-based and participatory approaches.
