The Role
You will lead the development of new business opportunities across Ireland’s public sector, driving revenue growth through strategic, consultative sales.
This role requires a blend of hunter mentality and strategic thinking someone comfortable building pipeline from scratch while also navigating complex procurement and deal structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy across public sector accounts
- Build and convert a strong pipeline of high-value opportunities
- Identify, shape, and position complex solutions aligned to client priorities
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders (CxO, Departmental leadership, procurement bodies)
- Lead end-to-end deal cycles, from origination through to close
- Collaborate with internal delivery, technical, and bid teams to create compelling propositions
- Maintain strong market awareness across policy, funding, and procurement trends in Ireland
- Drive disciplined pipeline management and forecasting
Your Profile
- Proven track record of winning new business within the Irish public sector (government, healthcare, education, or agencies)
- Strong experience in consultative / solution-based selling, ideally within technology, transformation, or advisory services
- Demonstrated ability to originate and close complex, high-value deals
- Established network and credibility within key public sector stakeholders
- Commercially astute with experience shaping innovative deal structures
- Confident operating in multi-stakeholder, politically aware environments
- Highly driven, self-starting, and comfortable with autonomy
