Albany Beck are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a major transformation and integration programme for one of our largest banking clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and adaptable consultant to lead complex initiatives associated with business change, acquisitions, and operational integration.
The role will suit someone who has previously worked on mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale transformation programmes and understands the challenges involved in bringing businesses, people, processes, and technology together successfully. Equally important is the ability to operate with autonomy, take ownership quickly, and drive initiatives forward in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate integration and transformation activities across multiple business and technology workstreams
- Support post-acquisition integration initiatives, ensuring continuity of operations while delivering strategic change objectives
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to assess existing operating models, processes, governance structures, and technology landscapes
- Help determine the most effective approach to integration, including identifying where existing organisational capabilities should be adopted versus where stronger capabilities from the acquired business should be retained
- Drive programme governance, planning, reporting, risk management, and delivery oversight across complex initiatives
- Facilitate collaboration between business, operational, and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful execution
- Identify and manage key dependencies, integration risks, and change impacts throughout the programme lifecycle
- Provide clear communication and leadership across senior stakeholder groups, maintaining momentum and focus on delivery outcomes.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience delivering complex business and/or technology transformation programmes
- Previous exposure to mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or organisational change initiatives
- Strong understanding of the considerations involved in integrating operations, systems, teams, and processes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently across all levels of an organisation
- Strong programme and project governance experience, including planning, RAID management, and executive reporting
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous or evolving environments with a pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset
- Self-starter mentality with the confidence and initiative to take ownership, quickly understand priorities, and drive activity independently
- Ability to step into challenging situations and deliver meaningful progress with minimal oversight
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership capabilities
