Legal Assistant - Foreclosure

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Legal Assistant role based in Boca Raton, FL, specializing in Plaintiff's foreclosure matters. The role will support attorneys by preparing and reviewing legal documents, managing case files, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth office operations. The role also involves regular communication with clients, reviewing case details, and managing deadlines to ensure compliance and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage foreclosure and creditor's rights litigation. The primary responsibility of this individual will involve first legal and service of process, including document preparation, summons issuance, and communication with process servers. The candidate should have an understanding of the requirements for each type of service (personal, substitute, and constructive).

Primary job function will involve document preparation for first legal (complaint, summons, lis pendens) service of process, Motions for Extension of Time to Serve, and affidavit preparation.

This individual will communicate frequently with firm clients and, vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience in legal field a must ***please do not apply if you have not worked in a law office previously***
• Familiarity with foreclosure law, docket review, legal procedures, and protocols
• Prior experience with a Plaintiff's foreclosure/creditor's firm preferred
