The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is an award-winning, independent global non-profit research organization dedicated to designing and implementing policies that address the impacts of the global transportation sector on climate change and public health. The ICCT is looking for a Development Intern to assist the Development Team of a mission-driven international nonprofit. This role will provide firsthand experience in funder research and grants management.

You will...

  • Update and maintain existing prospect and funder profiles, templates, and reporting data across platforms including Salesforce and SharePoint, gaining experience in CRM systems used across the nonprofit sector.
  • Support the development of funder and prospect lists segmented by interest in specific regions and program areas related to the ICCT’s work.
  • Support the grant reporting process by preparing required documents/forms, assembling supplemental materials, and editing reports for clarity and grammar.
  • Support the management of the regrant and contract portfolio.
  • Support day-to-day operations of the Development team and ad-hoc project management activities.

You Have...

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree, or are currently enrolled in a degree program.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and data entry skills, with Salesforce (or other CRM database) experience preferred.
  • Ability to connect with multicultural teams and work across time zones.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Interest in nonprofit operations, philanthropic foundations, and climate change/transportation policy.

Our Benefits

This is a full-time hybrid (30-40 hours per week) internship opportunity that will be based in our Washington, D.C. office for 12 weeks and have an hourly rate starting at $23.87. Interns are eligible for a limited benefits package, which includes paid time off, internet subsidy, and other benefits. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
