- 1.0 FTE - 40 Hours Per Week
- 8-Hour Shifts
- Perform basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and utility systems
- Perform minor painting and surface preparation tasks including patching, sanding, priming, and applying paint to walls, ceilings, doors, and other facility surfaces as needed to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment
- Respond promptly to facility alarms including fire, mechanical, security, and building automation system alerts
- Perform snow and ice removal duties on organization grounds, including sidewalks, and entryways to ensure safe passage for patients, staff, and emergency vehicles
- Respond to maintenance requests and service calls in a timely and courteous manner, prioritizing safety and minimal disruption to patient care
- Read, understand and carry out Method of Procedures
- Complete preventative maintenance work orders generated by the electronic maintenance work order system
- Participate in the department’s on-call rotation and respond promptly to call-ins to ensure continuous patient care and surgical support as needed
- Assist with safety and security of staff and visitors on organization grounds
- Collaborate with organization security personnel and law enforcement agencies as needed by providing access to secure mechanical areas, assisting with investigations involving facility infrastructure
- Use force when necessary to defend oneself or others in response to assisting security
- Use the organization's secure messaging platform in accordance with departmental protocols, including timely receipt and responses to communications
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Quality assurance and accreditation standards
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality laws and patient rights
- Effective English communication in verbal and written format
- Quality work including attention to detail and accuracy

- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
- A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required
- Ability to meet the minimum qualifications required by the organization’s insurance underwriter to be eligible for coverage under the company’s vehicle insurance policy is required
- Previous experience performing maintenance in a hospital environment is preferred
- Experience working in a related area preferred
- Must possess a cell phone that interfaces the organization’s secure message system
