This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.
Responsibilities
- You will enter new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
- Prepare account service documentation, client communications, and correspondence to support underwriting and agent relationships.
- Process renewals by reviewing policy details for accuracy and implementing requested changes.
- Handle endorsements and audit transactions through coordination with agents and underwriters.
- Manage non‑renewals and cancellations in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Review company correspondence to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with client needs.
- Maintain bond and account files in compliance with established documentation and record‑keeping standards.
- Build working relationships with underwriters and agent partners.
- Respond to and process internal information requests.
- Prepares, submits and tests IT programming requests.
- Prepare and audit various monthly operational and performance reports.
- Continuously develop professional skills through ongoing education and by staying current with industry trends and standards.
- Assist with the training and support of other team members.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.
- Basic accounting experience.
- Knowledge of underwriting support processes and procedures.
- Customer‑service‑focused approach with a commitment to supporting underwriting partners and agent needs.
- Proficiency with personal computers and data‑entry functions, with the ability to learn new systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures, guidelines, and workflows.
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes, systems, and insurance concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
- 3+ years of underwriting support experience.
- Familiarity with basic mathematics and analytical techniques.
