Purpose of Role
Achieve continuous profit growth by winning programs from existing and new customers through sales activities aligned with business strategies. This is a remote position based in Detroit, MI.
Key Accountabilities Include
- Achieve sales targets for assigned accounts in alignment with company objectives
- Ensure sales and marketing plans are effectively implemented within assigned accounts
- Proactively resolve matters that impact assigned accounts and escalate critical issues when necessary
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key contacts
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and channel partners to maximize the resource effectively
- Execute and support the assigned account plan; serve as the primary contact for day-to-day business matters pertaining to sales, planning, and marketing for assigned accounts.
- Optimize the placement and performance of Yamaha products within assigned customers or dealers in alignment with approved strategies.
- Report on market insights, competitive conditions, and product activities within assigned accounts and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
- Support the assessment and coordination of training initiatives for channel partners within assigned accounts.
- Develop and maintain sales forecasts for assigned accounts; document account sales cycle activities and ensure accuracy of pipeline reporting.
- Coordinate internal resources and support for demand generation events and customer-related activities within assigned accounts.
- Execute assigned sales targets while utilizing established tools, templates, and processes to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Sales Alignment: Align work with the sales function
- Consultative Sales Skills: Ability to alleviate channel partners' pain points and recommend products and services that meet channel partners' needs
- Customer Relationship Development: Be an effective brand ambassador to end users and/or direct customers, qualifying, understanding, and converting their immediate & long-term needs for YCA's products.
- Presentation Skills: Deliver concise, engaging presentations in-person and virtually
- Relationship Building and Management: Quickly connect with prospective channel partners and maintain relationships
- Sales Channel Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of sales channel(s)
- Technical Product Acumen: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Yamaha's products and services

- Demonstrated sales experience in the vertical market
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence and/or basic analytical tools to support account reporting and forecasting
- Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage pipeline, customer interactions, and sales cycle activities
- Proficiency with office productivity software for reporting and customer communication
- Travel up to 35%; includes some nights and weekends
- 2+ years sales experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with automotive interior trims in the automotive sector
- Familiarity with CRM systems and basic data analysis or reporting tools
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Live in the Detroit metropolitan area
