Description

Seeking a knowledgeable and effective leader to join our Venice Family Clinic team as a Controller.

Venice Family Clinic is a leader in providing comprehensive, high-quality health care to people in need. The organization has more than 500 staff who serve 45,000 people with compassion, dignity, and respect across an area from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay. We have a network of clinics, Early Head Start centers, and mobile clinics, plus an expansive street medicine program to reach people experiencing homelessness. In conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will oversee activities related to the implementation and maintenance of the organization’s general accounting operations.

Key Duties

  • Oversight of Venice Family Clinic’s financial operations
  • Ensures timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting aligned to GAAP and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and other programmatic applicable regulations
  • Leadership and management of the accounting team
  • Management of the monthly close, budgeting, and audit processes
  • Management of treasury functions, including banking relationships, liquidity management, and cash flow forecasting to ensure operational stability
  • Ensures compliance with Federal grant requirements, Medicaid and Medicare billing and reconciliation and other restricted funds
  • Supports the CFO in annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
  • Partners and collaborates closely with executive leadership, clinical operations, and direct financial directors to support sustainable growth and mission delivery

The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is $95,400 – $208,300 annual.
