Healthcare Project Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Project Manager to lead projects involving vendor coordination, EHR/EMR system integrations, employee training, and workflow automation in a hybrid work environment. This role will be responsible for managing cross-functional initiatives that improve operational efficiency, optimize system connectivity, and support end-user adoption across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring experience working with electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems, managing third-party vendors, and implementing integrated technology solutions. This person should also be comfortable teaching and supporting employees through process changes while identifying opportunities to automate manual workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery for operational and technology-focused initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, software providers, and implementation partners to ensure project success.
• Oversee EHR/EMR system projects, including upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.
• Coordinate and support system integrations between EHR/EMR platforms and other business or clinical applications.
• Analyze current workflows and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance data accuracy.
• Design, build, and implement automated workflows using available business systems and automation tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and ensure solutions align with business needs.
• Develop project documentation, implementation plans, process maps, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
• Train staff on new systems, processes, and tools, ensuring a smooth transition and strong user adoption.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams, operational teams, and end users to support successful deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Identify project risks, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution in a timely manner.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to healthcare systems, data flow, reporting, and operational processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare, health technology, or systems implementation environments.
• Experience working with EHR/EMR systems and understanding their functionality, workflows, and integration points.
• Proven background in vendor management and coordinating with third-party technology partners.
• Experience leading or supporting system integration projects, especially involving healthcare or operational platforms.
• Hands-on experience creating or improving automated workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual tasks.
• Strong ability to train, mentor, and support employees during system or process changes.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability concepts such as APIs, HL7, FHIR, or related integration standards.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate, Zapier, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, patient data workflows, or clinical/administrative systems.
• PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar project management certification is a plus.
