SCI Engineering is a multi-discipline firm offering a variety of services from the design development stage through construction. We specialize in Geotechnical, Environmental, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources and Construction Material Testing services.
We are currently seeking an ambitious and energetic Business Development Professional to expand services in the St. Louis market to support our continued growth in our Midwest offices. The primary goal of the position is to forge strong relationships with clients and generate business opportunities. The Business Development Manager will oversee the implementation and maintenance of all Midwest business development activities and will collaborate with SCI’s marketing professionals as well as the business development coordinators. SCI Engineering is looking for a true connector who is driven by the success of the entire team and naturally looks for opportunities to solve problems and create a value product.

Essential Functions
- Develop and strengthen relationships with both new and existing clients.
· Identify and pursue business opportunities aligned with SCI’s service offerings and market strategy
- Develop a sales strategy focused on project acquisition and customer satisfaction.
· Attend, arrange, and lead meetings with prospective and existing clients.
· Collaborate with marketing and BD coordinators on branding, outreach, and proposal efforts
· Support RFP and RFQ pursuits, including federal and public-sector opportunities
· Maintain a healthy and actionable business development pipeline
· Promote SCI’s engineering and consulting services across targeted markets.
Qualifications
· 8–10+ years of business development experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry
· Strong familiarity with, or established relationships in, the St. Louis and Midwest markets preferred
· Proven ability to build client relationships and generate new business opportunities
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software (preferably Deltek Vantagepoint).
· Prior experience with RFP/RFQs and responses to federal submittals.
· Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
