To support this mission, Syngenta’s Logistics team is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Athens or Thessaloniki. This role will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and supporting the company’s logistics and operational processes. He/She bridges logistics expertise, data analytics, and IT capabilities to ensure supply chain efficiency, cost optimization, and data-driven decision making across the organization.
Accountabilities
- Monitor and analyze logistics flows (inbound, storage, picking, shipping, transportation, returns) to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Extract, consolidate, and validate data from ERP, WMS, TMS, and BI platforms ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reports to support both operational and strategic decisions (e.g. OTIF, inventory turnover, cost-to-serve, lead time).
- Support logistics activities, including carrier performance management.
- Work closely with IT to enhance logistics systems and integrate new digital solutions (automation, data integration).
- Support daily warehouse and transportation operations, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Build reports and/or dashboards related to sustainability measurements in operations and actions for reducing CO2 emissions.
- Contribute to CU & Regional continuous improvement initiatives and actively participate to regional logistics initiatives
- Provide analytical insights on operational performance, costs, and productivity, propose and track corrective actions.
- Maintain and update logistics master data (item codes, locations, carriers, supplier data) ensuring data governance standards.
- Support onboarding and training of operational teams on tools, processes, and performance metrics.
- MSc in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Economics
- Logistics knowledge: Understanding of warehousing and distribution processes
- 2 years of experience into logistics, operations or supply chain roles
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and data quality
- Team player and cross functional mindset for interacting effectively with different teams (CS, Sales, Demand Planning)
- Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Adaptable and open to innovation and continuous improvement
- Organizational skills: strong planning and time management skills to keep operations running smoothly
- Communication skills: ability to communicate with internal colleagues and suppliers
- Strong knowledge of systems (SAP), data analytics tools (Excel advanced, SQL) and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), as well as advanced scripting skills in Python

- Fluent in English. Any other language is a plus.
