Go to Market Engineer

About the role
Productside is a 25-year-old product management training and enterprise consulting company. We provide services to product management leaders at large companies and help their product teams make products people want to buy and use. We're profitable, asset-light, and small, and we make a big impact at some of the largest brands in the world.
We're hiring a Go-to-Market Engineer to be the technical backbone of our outbound motion. You build the systems, run the experiments, and surface the patterns that make the rest of the GTM team faster. You'll work directly with the CEO and a tight, distributed team.
What you'll own
The outbound systems tech stack. You're the sysadmin and builder across tools such as Lemlist, HubSpot, Apollo and Clay. You'll evaluate new tools, help run migrations, and build the integrations that connect everything (Lemlist → HubSpot is a current example). When something breaks, you fix it. When something needs to be built, you build it.
Outbound campaign execution. Take a target ICP and turn it into a working campaign: list research, enrichment, segmentation, sequence writing, A/B testing, deliverability monitoring, performance reporting. You'll run multiple parallel experiments and report what's working. You'll bring strong opinions about how to execute and the testing rigor to back them up.
Reporting and pattern recognition. You own dashboards and reporting. You pull insights from Trellus call data, Avoma transcripts, and email performance, and package those insights into actionable signals for our sales team. You’ll help codify what top performers are doing differently, investigate why connect rates dropped this week, where the funnel is leaking.
Process and documentation. Everything you build gets documented. Other people on the team need to be able to operate, troubleshoot, and extend your systems without you. Process building, optimization, and SOPs are part of the job.
AI enablement. You're fluent enough in AI tooling (Claude, custom agents, prompt engineering, automation frameworks) to apply it across the sales motion. Lead scoring, call summarization, message personalization at scale, recruiting workflow improvements. We use AI seriously and we expect you to push us further.
What you must have
- 3+ years building outbound systems in sales ops, growth ops, or RevOps — ideally for B2B companies selling to enterprise.
- Hands-on technical fluency with HubSpot (workflows + reporting), at least one major outbound platform (Lemlist, Instantly, Apollo, or equivalent), Clay or a comparable enrichment tool, and at least one automation tool (Make, Zapier, n8n).
- Working knowledge of email infrastructure: domain warming, deliverability, bounce reduction, DNS basics. You don't need to be a deliverability specialist, but you can't be lost when things go wrong.
- A genuinely quantitative mindset. You can look at funnel data and tell us where the leak is. You design experiments with control groups. If math makes you nervous, this role won't work.
- Strong written English. You write outbound copy that gets replies and documentation that other people can follow.
- Demonstrated AI fluency. Concrete examples of where you've inserted AI into your work.
- Self-direction. Our team is small and distributed. You'll get clear priorities and outcomes from leadership; how you get there is mostly on you.
Nice to have, not required
- Experience selling to or working alongside product managers.
- Experience with professional services or training (vs. software). The messaging and trust-building dynamics are different.
- Sales experience yourself - even a year of SDR or AE work makes you better at this role.
- Trellus, Avoma, or other dialer / conversation intelligence platforms.
Our values
- Outcomes over Outputs. We measure what shipped and what moved, not what was "worked on." Miss a deadline? Tell us early with a fix, not late with an excuse.
- Truth Tellers. Get the plan out of your head, write it down, and say what needs to be said (even to leadership).
- One Team. We help across functions. Nothing is "not my job" if the company needs it.
If those don't resonate, we're not the right fit. We mean it.
