Sales Development Representative (SDR) Piston Lehi, Utah · On-site · Full-time


About Piston Piston is building the modern payments infrastructure for vehicle fleets and Energy/Oil companies. We help businesses with vehicle fleets manage fuel cards, same money on their fuel and give them better transparency on driver fuel spend.


The role

We're hiring an SDR to be the tip of the spear for our go-to-market motion. You'll be the first conversation prospects have with Piston, and you'll work directly alongside our founders and AEs to build pipeline, refine our messaging, and help shape how we sell. This is an on-site role at our Lehi office. We believe early stage sales orgs are built faster when you're in the room together, learning from every dial and every demo prep.


What you'll do

  • Prospect into Pistons ICP accounts via cold email, cold call, and LinkedIn
  • Run a high-volume, high-quality outbound motion. We care about both
  • Qualify inbound leads and book discovery calls for our AEs
  • Partner with marketing on campaigns, messaging tests, and ICP refinement
  • Keep a clean CRM and bring a clear point of view on what's working and what isn't
  • Be in the office, in the mix, and willing to pick up the phone a lot
  • Potential for 1-3 week travel sprints


What we're looking for

  • 1+ year of sales experience (Summer Sales, BDR, SDR, etc.)
  • Track record of hitting or beating quota in an outbound-heavy role
  • Comfort with cold outreach: Phone, Email, and Social
  • Strong written communication
  • Curiosity about fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure. Bonus if you've sold into finance/ops buyers before
  • Coachable, competitive, and excited to be part of building a sales org from the early innings


Nice to have

  • Experience selling fintech, payments, B2B SaaS, or Door to Door
  • Familiarity with tools like Outreach/Apollo/Salesloft, HubSpot or Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • You've been an early SDR at a startup before and know what "building the playbook" looks like
