Senior Accountant – Corporate Reporting & Accounting

Location: Chicago, IL

We are partnering with a global organization seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant to join its corporate finance team. This role offers strong exposure to executive leadership, complex accounting matters, and enterprise-level financial reporting in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming out of public accounting or a large corporate accounting environment who is looking to broaden their experience and grow within a highly visible finance organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting processes and supporting schedules
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and related workpapers
• Support monthly close activities, including journal entries and variance analysis
• Partner cross-functionally with finance, legal, HR, and operational teams on reporting and compliance-related matters
• Assist with technical accounting research and documentation
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and reporting enhancements
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA preferred (or actively pursuing certification)
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting concepts
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Advanced Excel skills required
