Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a Development Coordinator to support new store development and ongoing project operations. This role reports to the Vice President of Development & Facilities and is responsible the support and planning, coordination, and execution of construction and development projects. This role works closely with project managers, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day activities for construction and development projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and reporting
- Track project timelines, permits, approvals, and contractor deliverables
- Maintain project files, contracts, change orders, invoices, and compliance documentation
- Communicate with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and general contractors to ensure alignment on project goals
- Support bid processes, vendor coordination, and procurement activities
- Monitor project progress and escalate delays or issues to leadership when necessary
- Assist with site selection, due diligence, and development planning activities when applicable
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute meeting notes and action items
- Ensure adherence to company standards, safety regulations, and local building requirements
- Support multi-site construction rollouts and remodel programs as needed
- Partner with project teams to support timelines, vendor communication, and scheduling.
- Notify appropriate departments of order status and delivery updates.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
- Communicates effectively across verbal, written, and interpersonal channels to convey information clearly, collaborate with others, and support team alignment
- Organized and detail-focused with task and time management, analyzing data, and meeting deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer applications
- Ability to read and translate construction drawings into actionable project plans
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate Development, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years in a coordinator role required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing may be required
Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures
